Dear Susan – What you have written is truly an endearing book and I know that your father would be beyond proud of the way you told his story. It is an enchanting book that speaks to what we hope to see in young people…desire, ambition, hard work and love. You have created a children’s book that is timeless in the message that it delivers and this will insure it will be read to young children for many years to come. I was very fortunate to come across your book "Harry's Piano"
while looking for a picture book for older elementary aged
students. The story of
your father and his accomplishments was told simply but with a
deep message for young children. Anyone can become what they dream
and aspire to, but it takes a lot of hard work and passion yet the
rewards received in return can continue for a life time.
Your book will be an inspiration to young children everywhere. They will be able to relate to Harry and his family, the sacrifices made for one another, and the joy shared with individual accomplishments. The inclusion of a CD with Harry's music allows the reader to come full circle with Harry and what he accomplished. Thank you for writing a book for children, a book that teaches them to believe in themselves and to follow their dreams.
